Dedicated IPs
There are two options when it comes to IPs when sending email campaigns: shared IPs and dedicated IPs.
A shared IP address means that your domain is mapped to an address that’s shared and used between multiple domains. A shared IP address is ideal if you’re sending less than 5,000 emails a day. The drawback of a shared IP is you don’t have any control over your sender reputation because even a single bad sender on that IP address may cause deliverability issues for others using it.
A dedicated IP address is your domain’s home on the web and is used exclusively for your campaigns. Dedicated IPs provide a direct connection to the ISP and are faster at delivering messages to recipients. If you're sending a large amount of emails per week (more than 50,000), use a dedicated IP to protect your reputation as they can send up to 1 million emails in a day. Using a dedicated IP is especially vital if your emails are time sensitive.
To establish full control over your IP and its reputation, Infobip can offer you a dedicated IP address which will be used only for sending your traffic.
To assign a dedicated IP to your domain, it needs to be purchased from Infobip. Dedicated IPs run on a recurring monthly charge. If you chose to use a shared IP, it will be assigned to your domain from the pool of shared IP addresses.
Establishing a good domain and IP warmup and reputation is crucial but be sure to have your mailing lists clean. An essential part of sending targeted emails is to ensure you have a clean list of engaged subscribers.
